Nurturing Healthy Lives
Supported by Child Rights and You (CRY) Kolkata, the Health & Nutrition Project was implemented in 28 remote villages and hamlets of Golamunda Block, Kalahandi district, Odisha, covering 2,303 households and 10,053 people, including children, adolescent girls, pregnant women, lactating mothers and other beneficiaries. The project worked closely with 18 AWCs, 14 VHND points, 14 immunisation points, 14 GKSs, and 21 schools to improve access to health, nutrition, immunisation, counselling, maternal care, and government welfare services. The initiative focused on reducing malnutrition, anaemia, and micronutrient deficiencies through awareness, follow-up support, convergence with frontline systems, and community-based actions.
